FDC partnered with Sustainable Certification in 2014 and has held certification in Quality, Safety and Environmental management systems since. FDC selected Sustainable Certification based on their experience, their ability to grow with us, and their ability to add value to our business.

FDC provides project and construction management services within the building sector including construction, fitout, refurbishment, and mechanical services. FDC has solid experience in commercial buildings, workplace fitout, data centres, industrial / manufacturing facilities, distribution and logistics centres, education, health and science, fitness and leisure, retail and hospitality. FDC has over 650 employees across eight divisions including offices in ACT, NSW, SA, VIC, WA and QLD.

FDC made the decision in 2018 to overhaul our management system with the aim to simplify, streamline and provide outcome focused processes and tools. This included clearing the clutter and integrating as many processes and tools as practicable.

The business wanted simplification. The business needed clarity, and a sense of purpose around what the management system was trying to achieve. Our objective remains to enable the safe delivery of projects to agreed requirements without adversely impacting the environment and communities in which we work.

FDC consulted with Sustainable Certification on our proposed approach and gaining their buy-in to our continual improvement journey was important. The Sustainable Certification team including Amelia, Tushar, Swami and a suite of professional auditors uses their own internal systems and online portal to assist our progress. This allowed FDC to focus our energies on improvement activities to enable the consistent delivery of projects across our operating divisions.

The journey to simplification fed off our objective, key improvement areas and key
performance indicators that empowered project teams to deliver projects of varying scale and complexity to local demands. Simplification has setup FDC for success and places us in a strong position to provide evolutionary improvements that are right for FDC, our clients and the communities in which we work.
